{"id":424,"date":"2020-12-02T00:21:00","date_gmt":"2020-12-02T00:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kwls.net\/?p=424"},"modified":"2023-12-02T00:26:13","modified_gmt":"2023-12-02T00:26:13","slug":"pie-crust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kwls.net\/index.php\/2020\/12\/02\/pie-crust\/","title":{"rendered":"Pie Crust"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pie Crust<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Credit: John Brown<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Makes 2 Pie crusts for a 14in pan<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>284g all-purpose flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup (8oz\/230g) butter, cold and diced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u20442 cup (4oz\/114g) full fat sour cream<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4tsp corn starch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4tsp sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directions:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>In a medium bowl combine the flour, salt, sugar, and corn starch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cube the butter, the smaller the better.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the cubed butter to the bowl. Use your hands to combine the mix (or a food processor) until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stir in the sour cream and then knead together quickly until a rough dough is formed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rough rectangle, about \u00bc inch (1 \u00bd cm) thick. Fold in thirds, like a letter. Fold the letter in half, and press down to flatten.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Repeat the previous step again and then wrap in plastic wrap.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Refrigerate for 30 minutes. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your dough is now ready to use. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
